BaD Radio Fantasy League Newsletter - Week Two Preview

~The BaD Radio Fantasy Newsletter~

The story after the dust settled on week one centered around the three undefeated teams. Early signs say that only two of those should feel good about their chances of leaving week two the same loss-less way they're going in. Dan McDowell is favored in both of his games this weekend, but by an average of only 8.5 points. In addition, the projection system has Tony Romo down for 30 points, which is totally bunk. Look for him to get slammed against The First Cutler Is The Deepest.

The other two unflawed teams, however, look to roll and roll easily in their week two matches. They're projected to win their games by an average of 41 points. In the largest divide of the weekend, the CBS Crystal Ball puts Guerin as a SIXTY-FIVE point favorite over former coworker Ralph Strangis and would-be teammate Brad Richards. If things break the wrong way for Strangis and Richards, this could get as ugly as the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals.

On the other side, all three winless teams (Handsome Pidgeons, Denton Ex-Cons, and The Team Computer Hasn't Named Yet) have a decent shot to bounce back. With the Ex-Cons battling Computer, we know at least one team will leave the ranks of the losers, but with the Pidgeons favored by 15 over the Cheeseheads, it could be more than that. If the Pidgeons are not able to turn that advantage into a win, however, the situation begins to look bleak. No team has made the BRFL Playoffs when starting off with an 0-4 record.

All of these contests, however, are but mere run-ups to the weekend's most evenly-matched contest, where the Denton Ex-Cons are favored by two against Morrow's Mooterus. The computer sees the game turning on Ex-Cons' Andre Johnson outgaining his counterpart, Mooterus' Terrell Owens. This human, however, can't see Shaun Hill (Ex-Cons) keeping pace with Kurt Warner (Mooterus) too many times this year and looks for Mooterus to pick up the win.

No matter what the score, however, we all pick up a win just for belonging to the world's most awesomest sports league.
